Mark Specht
PastorPastor Mark is a third generation Reformed Episcopalian, baptized, confirmed and nurtured in the Christian faith at Grace Reformed Episcopal Church in Collingdale, Pa.
Upon graduating from Williamson College of the Trades, Pastor Mark spent a year using carpentry skills with the RE missionaries Lil and Herman Brodish in West Germany. Following that year of service, he attended The Reformed Episcopal Seminary. In the years that followed, he worked with various ministries in the Reformed Episcopal Church, namely: Four Brooks Youth Camp in Pipersville, PA; St. Luke’s RE in Murray Hill, NJ; St. Matthews RE in Havertown, PA; Bishop Cummins RE in Catonsville, MD; and Atonement RE in Philadelphia, PA. He’s also continued his educational advancements at Eastern College (BA in Sociology and a MA in Clinical Psychology).
Pastor Mark answered God’s call to Pastoral ministry in June 1993 at the Church of the Covenant RE, Media, PA. Closing that parish in April 1996 moved on to Atonement RE Church in Philadelphia, then in 2007 received a call to us here at Grace RE.
In August 1994 Mark added to his Pastoral ministry, a job with Williamson College serving as Chaplain and Counselor.
Married in 1999 to Christine, who works as a Christian therapist with Karios Counseling in Devon, PA. Blessed with two children, Oksana and Lars, they reside in Media, PA.
